How did Nexus start?

Founder Story - Cassandra and Karen

Cassandra Kong (RMT) and Karen Ngo (Chiropractor & RMT) met while working at a multi-disciplinary clinic in downtown Toronto. They were both committed to providing a higher standard of care to their patients, and were passionate about helping their clients achieve a long term improvement in their health.

Over the years, Cassandra and Karen noticed that many clinics were choosing to provide a one-size-fits-all approach to patient care. In the industry, some practitioners were just treating symptoms without getting to the root cause of the issue. This lead customers to have disappointing experiences and to come back over and over without their health goals ever being met.

Karen and Cassandra realized they both wanted to promote a new and different type of healthcare that started with assessing the patients needs, creating a customized and personalized treatment plan that delivered real results, and that would focus on treating the root cause of the problem to deliver long term health benefits. In addition to a focus on excellent patient care, Cassandra and Karen both loved working with and mentoring people to help them achieve their personal and career goals in the health industry.

Due to this alignment, Karen and Cassandra decided to form a business partnership and Nexus Massage & Rehab was started in 2018 to deliver a higher standard of patient care and a vibrant community at their Yonge & Eglinton clinic.
