Tell us about yourself?

I am a Registered Massage Therapist from Bryan College with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from York University. With former licenses as a Kinesiologist and Personal Trainer, health and fitness has always been a part of my life. As someone who has suffered from lower back pain in the past, I sought out a career that could help people with their pain as a therapist helped me with mine.

During my free time, I enjoy playing badminton and softball during the summer months. Travelling to different cities and countries to experience their culture and food is a great interest of mine.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

With the majority of people’s lives spent sitting in front of a computer, on the couch watching TV or stuck in traffic on the HWY. Posture is a major reason why people experience back and neck pain. I enjoy being able to help and educate clients on the possible reasons why they are experiencing pain in the first place. Working towards your health goals does not end when you get off the table.

What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?

I specialize in trigger point therapy, joint mobilization for joint and spinal restrictions/stiffness and numbness/tingling caused by nerve issues. With the majority of clients seeking my help are those that work in front of a computer, it is not surprising that back and neck stiffness caused by poor posture is a leading cause of many people's issues.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am most proud when a returning client tells me when I see them that their pain was gone after the treatment and that it did not come back after doing the exercises that I gave them. It is so rewarding to hear that a client is just as invested as I am in helping with their pain and discomfort.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I believe that my background in kinesiology and massage therapy allows me to tackle any issue from both perspectives. With this approach, I can treat the symptoms as well as address the root cause of discomfort in a more holistic way.
