Tell us about yourself?

Hello! My name is Laura and I am a Registered Massage Therapist. I completed my studies at Centennial College and I am a member of the Resistered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO).

I have always been interested in the mechanics of the human body, learning about how it works and what can be done to help it heal from stress or injury. My passion for health and wellness led me to pursue a career in massage therapy. I strive to help people feel their best by formulating an effective treatment plan that is unique to the needs of each individual.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating a wide variety of cases, this allows me to work with a broad population and requires constant growth as an RMT. However, I can relate to people who hold tension in their bodies as a result of stress. I have found that receiving upper body treatments, focusing on the shoulders and neck, has helped me to reduce this pain and improve my posture at the same time. This is especially true for individuals who are required to sit at a desk for extended periods of time for work or studies.

What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?

Three treatments that I specialize in are Myofascial release, Trigger Point therapy and Remedial Exercise home-care. The combination of these treatments are very effective in the treatment of pain and the provision of tension relief.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am most proud to be able to provide clients with a sense of relief. We all carry stress in our bodies and allowing that tension and pain to be released is a something I love to do.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I strive to achieve the unique goals of each client. I want to provide a treatment that caters to YOU and your needs. Through discussion and assessment, we will formulate a treatment plan that will not just focus on pain relief but pain prevention.
