Tell us about yourself?

I am a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. My journey into the field of massage began while working in the restaurant industry. Endless hours on my feet sparked my passion for understanding how the body works; how to prevent pain, improve mobility, and increase the body’s longevity. As a new father, maintaining a healthy body has become even more important. I want the same for my clients. Whether it is relieving general aches and pains of daily living, or getting you back to the activities you enjoy post injury and/or surgery, my goal is to help you reach your goal.

Outside of clinic, you will find me playing peek-a-boo, reading bedtime stories, and changing diapers (don’t worry, I washed my hands). In my spare time, I love playing my guitar, meditating, and enjoying the positive effects that walking in nature has on my mind and body.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

Every case is a welcome opportunity to improve the health and well-being of my clients – whether it’s relieving a nagging neck pain or headache, reducing stress, or improving mobility. But regardless of your age or condition, you will always feel the influence of gravity on your entire body. Our posture affects our perception of pain and gives us feedback on how we need to move differently. In order to feel better, we need to pay attention to the whole body; and that’s what I do.

I believe treatments are a collaborative endeavour, working with clients to get to the root cause of their concerns. My reward is seeing the joy on my clients’ faces when the plan we set out together brings them relief from pain and more freedom to carry on with their activities of daily living in a new and more biomechanically-friendly way.

What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?

Research and experience have shown me that when we have pain or discomfort in a given area, the cause may be originating or affecting other areas of the body. While techniques may vary based on my client’s needs and comfort level, the techniques I use typically address the body as a whole. These techniques include general Swedish and/or hot stone massage to help you relax; myofascial techniques to release tension and enable mobility; and, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation – a stretching technique to give you freedom in your movement you may not have thought possible.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I take pride in delivering long-lasting, meaningful results for my clients. Together, we will understand the root cause of your aches and pains and develop the most effective treatment plan that works for your lifestyle.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Whether you are looking to relax, reduce pain, or improve your mobility, each session with me is dedicated to helping you reach your goal. At the end of your treatment plan, you will be left with the tools you need to maintain your results. Each session will use evidence-based techniques in a calming environment so you can back to your day feeling rejuvenated.
