Tell us about yourself?
I am originally from Vancouver, BC. I moved to Toronto in 2014 to pursue my passion in the health care field. I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy with honours and am registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
On top of being a practitioner, I enjoy helping other practitioners grow and hit their personal and professional goals. As a clinic owner, I wear many different hats and I enjoy all the different experiences and challenges I face everyday. One can’t grow and succeed without challenges in life. I embrace all of them!
When I can get a long weekend off, I like to go camping and do nature things. I like trying different foods, traveling and experience different cultures. Some of my other hobbies include dancing (bachata, kizomba) and doing some acro-yoga for fun!
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy all different cases, especially the upper back, neck and shoulders. I find a lot of people store their stress in these areas, which cause tension and discomfort. I like to work with the deep muscles, tending to those trouble spots to relieve tension. Decreasing stress and tension in these areas make a big difference in people’s attitude. I love to see the expression on my patient’s face after their treatment!
What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?
I specialize in Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Deep Tissue Massage.
The myofascial release helps with loosening the connective tissue underlying the skin, muscles, and organs, making the muscle easier to work with and decrease pain. Trigger point therapy helps with decreasing pain and increasing mobility of the muscle. The benefit of deep tissue massage helps release muscle tension and stiffness.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I take pride in figuring out the root cause of the patient’s problematic areas and alleviating their pain and discomfort. My treatments are clinical focussed – I like to create change in people and bring them to recovery, feeling healthier, happier and stronger.
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I love bringing great energy to my sessions and working together with my patients to form their treatment plan. I believe that understanding the root cause of the problem is important for preventative care as well as our treatment direction. I work towards bringing you back to doing the things you love, pain-free.
