Tell us about yourself?

I am a Registered Massage Therapist from Kikkawa College and studied with the Canadian College of Massage of Hydrotherapy in Toronto. I am in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO).

I started massage therapy because of my love for working with people and helping them feel their best through problem solving. I am fascinated with anatomy, psychology, and understanding how all the body systems work together. The body is a complex and interesting thing!

Prior to massage therapy, I worked in the performing arts sector as a Stage Manager and Events Coordinator. I have a BFA in Theatre Production from Ryerson University. I spent a lot of my time backpacking, couchsurfing, and hitchhiking around South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Outside of the clinic, I am out with my dog, or baking up a storm in my tiny Toronto kitchen.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating people who have discomfort from repetitive actions due to work or recreational activities. I like understanding the body as a whole and helping clients understand and become aware of their body mechanics in their day-to-day. I'm all about education and awareness. I'm not just here to bring pain relief, but to help reduce the stresses on your body from simply living.

What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?

My strengths are treating tension in the head, neck, and shoulders region, as well as the back, arms and hands. I use a combination of techniques to treat the body as a whole, not just the target area. I combine general Swedish massage with myofascial techniques and trigger point therapy to reduce tension, as well as active and passive movement, and joint mobilization to improve joint health.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I enjoy seeing results in my clients and being able to help them find relief in their discomfort, not just physically but mentally. It makes me feel like I am positively contributing to someone's life.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I am a healthcare provider who is invested in my patient's ongoing health and well-being. I tailor all my treatments to my patient's needs, listen to their goals and concerns, and provide personalized treatment plans to achieve those goals.
