Tell us about yourself?
I have more than 15 years of experience in alternative medicine in Mexico and Canada. I have studied and practiced massage therapy and homeopathy in both countries. In Mexico I also practiced herbal medicine, nutrition, biological medicine and acupuncture. In massage therapy I use different techniques from East and West to tailor each massage to the needs of the client. I am a good listener and I like to find the best way to help each patient to reach their goals in terms of health and happiness. I combine different techniques in each treatment to suit needs of my clients. In my tool box of massage, I incorporate techniques such as Shiatsu, acupressure, Ayurevedic, Shantala massage, reflexology Swedish, deep tissue, fascial release and Access Bars.
I am also a mom, I do kung fu with my kids and read and cook a lot with them.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
Stress, anxiety, depression. On top of all the physical benefits of massage techniques, the emotional component of it is the part that I enjoy the most. Being able to help someone to release stress, find balance and feel more in ease with life is something I really appreciate and value. Particularly the techniques of Access Bars and Shitasu help with gentle pressure points to bring the body and mind to balance, facilitating better sleep, faster healing and a general sensation of wellbeing.
What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?
Anxiety, stress, depression. Massage is a great way to feel better, deal and cope with the challenges that life brings on. Massage helps to reconnect with your body, to find a space of peace and tranquility in yourself and feel the care of another human being. Particularly the technique of Access Bars helps to relieve the stress and all those burdens we feel in our life in a soft and relaxing manner, through soft pressure points in the head.
Shoulder pain. The shoulder is such a complex joint in which several things can go wrong, finding the exact problem in each case and helping the client to reduce pain and recover mobility is one of the areas in which I have a lot of experience in.
Pregnancy and motherhood related back pain and issues. I have been there! I will do anything to support my clients to recover as fast as possible; to enjoy the wonderful and challenging process of becoming and being a mom: with techniques to relieve the pains and aches and the stress coming for motherhood.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I am proud of being able to help clients to have a better quality of life, to have an empathic practice in which I get to know my clients well, which allows me to help them in the best way possible. I am proud of having lots of different techniques and tools to help clients to reach their goals as fast as possible.
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
My knowledge and experience in different areas of alternative medicine allows me to find the root cause in many different conditions. With the tools, background and experience that I have, I am able to help solve the problem and bring the client back to health and happiness in a faster way.
